One of my favourite publishers, Europa Editions, is launching an exciting line of crime fiction called WORLD NOIR.
With writers from different countries, this line is definitely one to watch (and of course to read).
The series was "soft-launched" back in February with Gene Kerrigan's THE RAGE, and on May 7th, Jean-Claude Izzo's MARSEILLES TRILOGY (TOTAL CHAOS, CHOURMO, SOLEA), Maurizio de Giovanni's BLOOD CURSE (the second book in the Commissario Ricciardi series), Benjamin Tammuz's MINOTAUR, and Massimo Carlotto's gritty AT THE END OF A DULL DAY are some of the newly published.
Here are some of the World Noir writers I've read before and strongly recommend:
Stav SHEREZ (UK)
Caryl FÉREY (FRANCE)
Jean-Claude IZZO (FRANCE)
Carlo LUCARELLI (Italy)
Giancarlo DECATALDO (ITALY)
Benjamin TAMMUZ (ISRAEL)
I'm looking forward to read more from this WORLD NOIR series. Let me know if you've read some of the books and which ones you recommend.
For more about World Noir, you can visit the World Noir Facebook page and the brand new World Noir website.
