Festival littéraire QuébeCrime Writers Festival
The
co-founders of QuébeCrime, Guy Dubois (Maison
Anglaise et Internationale Bookstore) and Jacques Filippi (The House of Crime & Mystery site),
are announcing that the festival is taking a one-year hiatus. The members of
the non-profit organization are evaluating the various opportunities available,
in order to redefine the orientation and organisation of the festival. Also, if
you are interested in joining us, we are opening new positions.
The next QuébeCrime
edition will be held in fall of 2014. Although there is no festival this fall,
we will be holding off-festival events during the year. Information regarding
these events will follow as it becomes available.
We thank
you for your support, and hope to see you soon.

QuebeCrime Festival 2011
October 28-30
Quebec City
We can finally announce most of our events for this first crime festival in La Belle Province. Co-founded by Guy Dubois (owner of La Maison Anglaise et Internationale Bookstore) and by yours truly, Jacques Filippi (The House of Crime and Mystery). Our festival is the only international crime festival in Canada; other Canadian festivals hold mystery & crime events within their schedule but none is exclusively about crime & mystery.
We have an official website that is still going through some daily modifications, but you can access it to consult our schedule of events, order tickets (418-654-9523 or tickets@quebecrime.com), read about the authors, etc. You’ll find this here: QuebeCrime Festival
The QuebeCrime Festival is held in collaboration with the Morrin Centre, the gorgeous venue for our Saturday and Sunday events. The Friday event will be held at St. Andrews Church, the oldest Scottish church in Canada. The Morrin Centre, build in the 1700s, is a national treasure and sits in Old Quebec.
